Out with the Bose, in with the Alpine/HD/Ipod

Just swapped out my dead Bose head unit with an Alpine unit and added the HD tuner and Ipod interface. Absolutely incredible results. HD makes the high end on FM CD-like quality, and gives you many additional channels with NO commercials. I'm actually listening to radio stations again due to the quality and extra content available. Ipod interface works very well...just throw it in the glove box and access it thru the head unit. Sound quality is very good. No need for satellite radio with these new additions. Great upgrade if your Bose unit dies.

I got the Apine CDA9885. Runs $299. The additional HD tuner was $249, but there's a $40 rebate from Alpine if you buy soon.

Nice i'm looking now. HD unit is only 149 on crutchfield. I might jump on that when I get my audio. My roomate gets audio at dealer price so I can save big on all the stuff. I like the 9885 because of the red. Any pics at night yet? I'd like to see what it's like at night. I might go with the 9883 because it's basically the same thing and $100 less than the 9885. Idk yet.
