2000 Bose system cleaning.....

I have had my car for a year now, and now my Bose seems to skip alot and sometimes it seems to scratch CDs. I would have a new CD in for about a week and never take it out, and then it will start to skip and I take it out and its all scratched.

Is there an effective cleaning system to buy for the Bose CD player? anyone had this problem?

Sometimes cleaning the CD player works, smtimes it doesn't. I saw some company fixes BOSE HUs but it's over a $100. I think it would be better to just buy an aftermarket. Time for an upgrade!.
