93 Maxima : Rear Speakers keep going on and off

Hi
I have a 93 GXE Non - Bose. My rear speakers keep coming on and off - between intervals as short as 5 minutes or as long as a couple of days. When my rear speakers shut off the LED on the head unit also goes out. Is this a rear amp issue, a power issue or is something inside the head unit broken? I also have the nissan CD player - everything plays fine ect. but only on the front speakers all the time and rear speakers when they decide to come on. If you have heard of anything like this please respond to this post, it will really help

If everything is all stock it might be a short in one of the amplifiers. Another possiblity is one of your speakers is shorting out and when it does since everything is powered by one of your Nissan factory amps, it effects all of the speakers. Have you taken it to a stereo shop for them to test it out?
