Awesome. Haven't ever used their amps but have never heard of any major issues with them. Did you ever post pics of the finished box?

I don't believe I did, but I have a video there. Temporary box until I can get a fiberglass one done. I'm trying for one that takes up the least amount of space possible. I don't think I can switch to a 12 even though it's smaller. I'd really miss the super low notes

Weakness...

Doesn't matter how much deadening you got.. on an A33, it WILL rattle with enough deebeez.

I've got a video floating around of my trunklid and rear windshield ready to bust out from "just" two TC9 driven 12"s...

I am looking for someone with a camera so I can get some good video.
do you or someone else have the max dimensions of an enclosure that will fit through the trunk opening of a 2000-2003 Maxima? I am planning on building my first box ~2.5 cubes, but i have no idea on the max width and other dimensions

2.5 ft^3 net? Sealed or ported? What's the driver displacement?

Generally, 2.5 ft^3 should have no problem fitting in our trunks, even if it's vented. I used to run a 3.5 ft^3 ported box. Don't have the dimensions off hand...

Your maximum width will probably be the distance between the wheel wells in the trunk right behind the rear seat....unless you plan on having some funky design.

I will get you the measurement, brb.

OK, Width=39", Hight=16", Depth=15". These are safe measurements and will fit. It won't drop right in though, you will have to slide one side in all the way to one side of the trunk to get the other side in.

The curvature of the trunk opening prohibits the width as do the trunk arms and tension bars.

I have no deadening except my license plate frame and I have barely no exterior rattle.

yea exactly, thats why i knew i couldnt just go and measure the inside space

but the box 2.3-2.5cubes net after all displacements including .16 cubes for a 12" Fi Q, and tuned to 32Hz.

and filtor1, thanks a lot for the measurement, it sounds similar to what i measured a while back, but i was uncertain

No problem. I didn't read that you were using a single 12". You will be fine with just about anything with 2.5 cf. BTW, you will love it tuned to 32. If you listen to more rock try 35 instead. You will have a much easier time blending with the front stage.

Pete, from www.hexibase.com is designing an enclosure for me. He wants to do:
Depth=18"
Width=39"
Height=16"

you guys think this would fit inside the trunk opening and actually fit well?

39" is pretty wide. i had issues fitting a 35 into my old 3rd gen. i can't imagine the 5th gen's opening being that much bigger.

That is a pretty big box. I would cut the depth down a bit, but the width will fit. Not easily, but it will.

the only way i see that fitting in your trunk if you side it in long ways then turn it back around while its in your trunk but even then you can only keep the box very close to the hatch..good for spl bad for a daily driver(well if you dont mind not using your trunk..)

thats what i was saying. but seeing as you can only buy fi from fi (afaik) i'm sure theres either some special circumstances or mild exaggeration going on.

Ummm no. I have seen boxes close to the hatch lower and raise spl as well as sound "better" and "worse" under the same scenario. This is driver, box, and vehicle dependent.
