Design me a system with $2000
Hey guys first of all want to thank all of you in advance I was planning on getting a jl setup for about that much but I have spoken to a few and they say I can get better for the same amount. I am looking to spend about 2000 in total (Including installation) So I would like some input on the systems, The system must hit harder AND clearer or if not at the same clarity as the 13w7. I am open to suggestions thanks.

sooo you just want bass or a whole system?
jl doesn't make headunits...
i just heard 2 fi Q 12s sealed and they sounded nice...or step up to 15s...there are tons of subs that are equal or better then the 'holy w7'

i know you've probably heard this before but if you're going to spend 2000 you should really upgrade your hu/front stage also.
as for big bass, i would give you some suggestions but most of the subs i'm interested in i've never hear and i don't want to be one of those ppl who reccomends whatevers on the internet bandwagon.

If I were you Id invest in a good amp then a speaker. You need A LOT of power to push a W7. I mean A LOT. I have built competition systems to just stuff for the normal Joe and the most important thing is a amp.
Here are some drawbacks of running a W7. If you really want crazy bass you will need a lot of dynomat because the rattle will drive you crazy. Then you need good wiring run right, which means all wires need to be run separately or else you might get RF noise. The high pitched whine. Then you MIGHT need to upgrade your alternator and MIGHT need a separate battery and FOR SURE a 20 farad cap. Also a system is heavy, especially the big subs and the dynomat. You have to upgrade your suspension or else your back will lag. Finally you will notice you need more clarity because the bass will drown out the highs and will annoy you because noone can tell what song you are playing. Then you will need some more components etc and you will have spent 10-15K like me. LOLz. Well maybe less cuz I went custom fiberglass and put in screens. Haha.
