Oh I see.

Do you have to run a special HU or amp?
Or does it just get based off the speakers?

[QUOTE=meccanoble;6461081]8" going in door (dam do you know how sexy that sounds?!)

Reading about all this excitement about these Dyns are making me take the plunge also, silly of me but I thought I needed to sets of components for fronts so I was already in the mid $600 mark for 2 sets of SLCs. Now that Don cleared things up for me I will be saving up for some 3 ways also. I'll be taking a ride to his camp to check out his system and order up my hu tomorrow (anv6620) and go as Don put it " taking baby steps" toward my upgrade. Mecc, tweeters on the 5th gen are located in the pillar? For the 4th gen they are located in the door panel, so Im assuming for the 3 ways setup... 8" or 7" (which ever I decide to go with) in the door along with tweeter, and 3" mid in the kick panel. Any one with a 4th gen contest to this?

true indeed. I'll find out from Don tomorrow on how 3 ways are done on the 4th Gen. I think he has pics of other setups he's done. Let me tell I never thought I would drop this much dough on a system, I guess all new to the Audio field feel this way.

When you had your G, thats when you started messing with the 8" in the doors. I remember you and manny going hard with those. I thought it was impossible at first, then I thought it would be too much bass, would sound like sh*t. Dam was I ever wrong. But there was a gap where I tried to avoid you (financial reasons lol), maybe then you upgraded?

Nope..the Dyn Grilles are STRONG. They're high enough that they wont' touch the water that collects in the mat.

I had a set of DLS 3ways...iridium 8.3's...now those tweet grilles are WEAK! lol...so I upgraded them to the Nobellium tweets.

The stage is surprising VERY nice and up front and natural. Pretty sweet how that came out....gotta give credit to Manny for showing me his setup and helping me throw those in the kicks. It would look better if I wrapped the kicks in some suede.
