Eclipse AV8022 ?

Does anyone have or know anything about the Eclipse AV8022 in-dash DVD player? My brother's friend has one and I think i'm gonna be installing it in his truck. It appears that there's no built in amp for it, and an external (4 or more channel) amp is going to be needed for him to get sound. Is this true? Any info would be great, thanks.

I just looked it up and it is saying there is only a 30W amplifier for a center channel. So from what I have seen on this H/U it seems like yes, you will need an amplifier to push the speakers. Maybe "Pearl" will chime in and help you out some more.

No problem. Don't hold me to it. I would wait for someone with more experience with Eclipse b4 you start.

OMG! I think I'm going to cry! I had this on my second maxima. It was my first dvd player and I had GREAT memories with it. I miss it everyday although I wouldnt trade it for my newer AVN 5435 . Here are some pics of it in my old max. As far as having a built in amp, I always used it with aftermarket amps so I'm not sure if has a built in amp, I just know it has all the necessary pre outs.
