Newbie questions......sry guys im new to this.

hey guys i just received my alpine iva 203p1, i also bought the metra kit to fit my dash.

Now im pretty sure best buy wont cut this dash kit to make it a double din. So can u guys tell me what is the proper way to make this into a clean looking double din.

Also will best buy wire my HU to play dvd's while driving, if i ask them too?

Find a good local custom shop by asking around.

No, BB won't give you video in motion. There are some employees who probably will, but they aren't supposed to.

Yea, they should. All it takes is a dremel and some patience.

from my experiences, to get the video to play when driving all you have to do is ground the "hand brake wire" and it'll be set. you could easily do it urself.

Your experiences are apparently not with Alpine or else you wouldn't have gotten your installs to work by doing this method, so your post doesn't apply.

You're right, I haven't had any experience with alpine, i figured it wouldn't be much different. I've done it with 4 other headunits and they all worked like that. How does it work for alpine?
