How do i get another 5900sst brain?

it seems my door lock trigger and remote start function stopped working..the doors lock fine when i use the power locks in the car and i have checked the wiring again and everything is fine..i still have to check the door lock/unlock wires with a DMM to be 100%..i bought the unit off of ebay about a year ago..and installed it myself and wondering do it have a warranty? If not where can i get a brain from? and how much..i can pick another alarm up from ebay for 175..and i just i have a spare remote and wires? or part it out

was it ever working? if not it may just be installer error. What exactly isn't working? go through the process and explain whats happening/what you see.

You can get 791xv brain's off Ebay for around $50, but you'd need a new antenna and remote.

did you check the neutral safety wire, brake wire, and hood pin input? are you using a Bitwriter to check all programming?

no but they affect the starting. what year make and model of car is it in?

NS wire should be grounded, brake obviously shouldn't see a positive, and the hood pin shouldn't see a ground.

did you go in the door to grab locks?

my guess is theres a cut wire somewhere, or a connection that failed. go to the brain and test the green wire in the 3 pin harness (on the side) with a DMM or test light, see if the brain is outputting.

If you stick your head under the dash and press lock, can you hear a relay clicking? If so it may very well be just be a simple connection failure.
