6AM BOSE amp bypass emergency
Hey all,
If anyone can tell me in the next two hours how to bypass the Bose amp in the front doors of a '96 Maxima, I'd be greatly indebted. The new head unit is a 4-channel amped system, so I figure I'll just use the wiring that's already in place from the Bose. For the rears I just found the wires that used to go to the amp and connected to the new speakers. Works fine according to the battery test. Dunno how to do the fronts though - the wiring color scheme I found does not correspond to what I am seeing inside the door panel, where there is a six-wire harness, two of which are power for the amp (don't need) and four of which are god knows what.
Any help would be appreciated - I have a flight to catch at 11, back to school for a few months, and my sister's car needs a stereo before I'm gone. Pulled an all-nighter doing car ****, and school ain't even started yet..
EDIT: naturally i figured it out right after this post. Didn't have time to update though. It's the green-and-purple wires on the right side and the same wire position in the harness (I forget the colors) on the other side. I just snipped 'em and spliced in wires to the new speakers. All is well.
