Buy some "L" brackets at your local Home Depot, Mount one side on the box and the other to the floor of your trunk. Your ground wire should not be more than say 6" away from your amp. Ground it to chassis.

Grounding the amp…

daddyfatsacks,

Correct me if I'm wrong, but did you try to ground the amp to a bolt in an unpainted area? I haven't gotten up under there yet, but I'm pretty sure that you'll have to find one fitting that description, or 'make' one by scraping away some paint around a bolt. There should be at least two bolts under there somewhere that you could use as a grounding point.

Good luck!

usually I just remove one of the seats, sand around a bolt hole on it, then attach the ground cable to it. mask around it, then paint over it with black paint so it looks better.
