I just purchased a 1995 Maxima SE (it's my first car!), but it came without the keyless entry remote thing. Is there anywhere I can purchase a replacement, preferrably an online retailer. I'm pretty sure its the stock alarm. Thanks a lot

 

Make sure your car is wired for it, not exactly sure how you can. And you can find them fairly cheap on ebay compared to the dealers who want $50+.

 

I bought one for my 2K off ebay. Cheap, no problems and dealer programs it 4 free. Just make sure its a new one.

 

You could program it yourself its not too hard. Theres a faq for it someplace, I think its http://web2.airmail.net/scutchen/max_faq/

www.ebay.com is the solution to MOST of the problems

 

thanks for the help...one question - i found "universal" remotes on the internet for $35 and up. Does anyone know if these work on the 95 Max? Thanks again.
