Remote start for 2k2?

Remote start for 2k2?
Circuit City spent all day installing my Viper550 with all the options today. For some reason they couldn't get the remote start to work. When you press the button, it sounds like it wants to start but isn't getting fuel. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
And a completly unrelated question: I also had a 1 fared cap. put in today. I set all my audio settings back to how they were before but my system sounds a little different (maybe it's just paranoia). When you get a cap. put in do the amps need to be readjusted? I think I'm just paranoid.
Thanks for any and all help,
Matt

Matt, it may be the immobilizer working its wonders. I don't know about the Viper but i know the Clifford has a built-in bypass for the immobilizer.

The 5th gen Maximas have a chip inside the key. What you need to do is use one of your valet keys and purchase a DEI 555U. The module from DEI bypasses your factory oem starter interrupt. I had to do this when I installed my fully loaded Clifford Concept 100.
