Hey guys, im running into some problems.. ive spent like a good 2 hours trying to find openings in the firewall to run a power wire for my amp.. Its impossible! Its a 1996 I30... anyone own one and run a power wire and knows where?

I ripped off that bottom left kick panel and the side sill panel and sound some wires running to the wheel well, and i looked under the hood, and there is a small hole on top of the wheel well, but i think a bit too small for 8 guage.. I might take off tha plastic insulation under the wheel well and see if i can feed it through somehow...

Any help??!?! And help its GREATLY appreciated.. and pics would be excellent for helping... thanks in advanced..

 

I don't have a i30 but what i did was i drilled a hole right below the brake pedal to the left .You should check and see if there is any open metal under the hood in that area.You could also go to a Best Buy ,Nobody beats the wiz ,circuit city or 6th ave electronics store and ask one of the radio installers where they usally put the holes of the i30

 

on my 4th Gen the hole was already there.. its right above the fuel filter..
