Alpine and JL Audio make good quality amp's. You get what you pay for.

JL audio rates their amps exactly to their specs. Now there is another make out there that makes really high quality amps that look better then JL (subjective but you can order custom colors), have same rated watts as JL but it is underrated (instead of 75wrms it puts out 95) it has top notch components and same xovers as JL. ARC Audio. Service is best of the best too.

I've actually heard that ArcAudio amps are cleaner than Zapco. Is this true?

Robert Zeff created Zapco a long time ago. They were considered the best amps. Although a lttle bit more expensive then needed.
Now Zeff works for Arc Audio, so he suggest even newer technology, so Arc audio is more advanced, but Zapco is still one of the best of the best!!!

I have Zapco 750AG, but I'll still change it for ARC 1500. Zapco just uses very expensive parts, but it's more money for the amp. Out of ten I would give 9.9 for the Arc Audio and 9.7 for the Zapco.

ARC Audio a lot better then AG series Zapco. However Zapco has it's competition line which is great but way overprised. ARCs are about the same level but cheaper.

As far as JL go, they are very comparable to ARC Audio. Its all about the price/look kind of decision between them. Not quality.

P.S. Don't compare 1500DR to AG. ARC Audio is Class D (class T actually) and AG is A/B. ARC 1500DR is much easier on your system (current draw) and always run cool but has less quality (not audiable since its a subwoofer amp) another is a fullrange (a/b) amp that can be used for speakers or subs. I'd stick with Calss D though for better efficiency and same output.

Hey, trust me, if you like the amp, use it, there's no better amp for you then the one you like!

Although for competition they would judge by some particular aspects, which your amp may not have!!!

I'm surprised no one's mentioned my Fav PPI Art series amps.. old design, but absolutely beautiful amps..

Even Guy from Focal tried to buy them straight out of my trunk at 2000 IASCA Finals..
Never did figure out how he was planning on getting them back to France....

Matt, I've got PPI 4400 in my trunk. Is it different then Art or the same?

I like it, but Arc Audio 4150 is more solid and more dynamic
