I was wondering. If i have the chance to install my cd player before i get the pocket underneath for a 1998 maxima, is it possible to install it without the pocket, and then i can put the pocket in later? Or is the pocket necessary to complete the full installation on site?

You can still installl it, you'll just have a big open hole in your dash.
