I have an older model Pioneer CD HU, about 1995 or so. It came with the car and until I have enough money for the 7400MP, this will have to do. I was wondering if I could use one of the Pioneer steering wheel remotes to control my HU since it already has the wireless remote feature already. I'm getting conflicting information on the various remotes Pioneer has, specifically for which models the remotes will be good for.

^ Both used just for the description, it sounds like the SR70 is good for any Pioneer head unit with the wireless feature already available. However, I have found some conflicting descriptions, whose links elude me at the moment.

Dat was what I used to find the remote, in case any one was wondering.

I've found that there is a SR70, 77, 80, 90 model for the steering wheel, only I don't know which one is best and will support future Pioneer products as well. Anyone got any experience with this?

 

I am pretty sure all pioneer remotes are compatible, with the HU's that use remotes. I have an older pioneer, and I can still walk into Best Buy, and mess around with the new pioneers with my old remote.
