I did a search and didn't find anything relative. Now my sentra doesn't have any rear speakers (result of a break in). I was wondering assuming I had the same brand which speakers would produce more bass 6.5" or 6x9s? Also what brand/model do you recommend?

 

if you are looking for more bass, 6x9 is a better choice ,as they are "usually" more powerful. But I have a question. Do you have an opening for both a 6x9 and a 6 1/2 ?
I actually have some 6x9's for sale. They are Pioneer 4-ways. I can get some more info on them if you are interested.

 

But I had a friend with 2 Kicker free-air 6x9 subs, and ran an amp off them instead of a sub in the trunk, and they kicked ***. You might want to check that out.

 

The 6.5 will sound the best. Remember that a speakers is ment to be a circle and not square or oval. It is related to how the waves are creaeted and how it gives off. I'm not quite sure about how to explain that into detail but yes the 6.5 is the "bassiest" sounding of the two. Damn, i went through car audio classes and i forgot already!

 

6.5's will be your best choice...brands like infiniti, eclipse, boston accoustics and pioneer will be your better choices..

 

but due to the increased cone surface, the 6x9 will give of more bass. A 6x9 moves more are than a 6 1\2" thus increasing the amount of bass. the question is do you want more bass or better SQ?
