Amp Recommendations!?!

I just bought a 12" Fosgate Power Hx2 sub for my 2k2 Maxima.. It is 1000 rms, 2000 peak.. I am looking to get a amp capable of pushing the sub to its fullest.. I was looking at the Fosgate bd1000 and the Audiobahn A1300HCQ.. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks in advance..

Chitwista...

Have you looked at HiFonics amps? I like them a lot, but I'm not sure what your budget is for an amp. I think they're a bit pricey, but I know they're great amps (I still have a little Vulcan series VIII amp that I used to run my subs with and it gave them solid power, although really not enough for my subs!)

Solid craftmanship and they give you what they say they do.

Good luck on your decision.

I have a RF 800a2, its rated at 800x1 but really puts out closer to a 1000. If you are interested, I was looking for 300 + shipping. What do ya think?

Kid, GOOD CHOICE>>>> You know good equipment.

Get the 1000BD, that's what I'm using to power my 12W7...

The BD (Beyond Digital) series power amps actually run about 25-30% more power than stated. The 1000BD pushes about 1200-1300..

Either way, it'l push those HX's good (you NEED a powerful amp). You may want to consider the 1500BD...

Phoenix Gold makes great amps also.... but I like Rockford amps...
