Get the Shiva, everyone else out here did...
Did you look at Fosgate? The HX2's are only 145.00. It is a serious sub... http://www.uscaraudio.com/catalog/item1424.htm

why do you say that???

do a search on that forum, some people have had both subs, so you'll get an opinion on each from the same person.

definitely shiva. i have a brahma 15, and i am totally blown away by the fact that my brahma is more accurate, and louder off <250 watts (no bass boost) than my 12w3 was off over 700 watts (plus bass boost). that plus the fact that EVERYBODY has jl's, and lucio proni (pres of jl) isnt NEAR as willing to help (i dont think he even answers email tech questions) as dan wiggins (pres of adire) is. i bought from dan, cuz i feel his products are VERY reasonably priced, and sound better than any other subs ive heard.

and, unlike jl, adire actually rates their xmax based on dumax (an industry standard) instead of using a theoretical formula to get xmax.
