Budget Quality Amp for Adire Shiva

I just started into car audio. Im looking foward to buy the Adire Shiva Mark 4 and was wondering what kind of amp would go good with the Shiva. Would a mono amp or 2-channel amp work better? I'm looking for a amp that would push the shiva to about 400w and the shiva's total watt limit is 650w.

With a Shiva you really only need like 250-300W.

125 for the shiva, and about around 150-200 for the amp if possible.

hope you dont mind waiting for the shiva...but anyway 300 watts is perfect imo. you can get 300watts @4 ohms for real cheap. if your getting only one id port it though for some sick low end.

You are going to have to wait until Feb. while Adire switches to a new OEM based in Chili. If you can't wait, the Dayton DVC 12" works better than the Shiva in small enclosures.

From Dan Wiggins: "Related to this, Adire Audio will soon release a greatly expanded range of woofers. Our 2005 line offering will initially grow by 500%, with many more drivers to come."

Daytons are here: www.partsexpress.com

How about these: http://www.ascendantaudio.com/Atlas%2012.htm

They look pretty interesting, but I don't know that much about them.

I haven't read any reviews on the Atlas series but the Avalanche series is getting off to a good start. Read a few comparisons to the Tumult here. Scroll down for pictures and scroll up for comments from Chad, owner of Ascendant Audio.

You can pick up the Daytons a little cheaper at Acoustic-Visions. Another driver that doesn't get much talk is the SAE1204. It models the same as the DVC 12 and the Shiva.

Thanks for the Avalanche review...wow, that guy is actually talking about getting rid of his Tumults for them. Very impressive.

What I really liked about the Atlas subs was the adjustable Q. What a great idea, but I wonder if it costs some efficiency. Anyway they look to be in the same category as the Adire Koda series, just a bit cheaper though.

In blind listening tests, you probably couldn't tell the difference between the two. A sub is a sub. The T/S parameters determine whether or not it will work in a car application, home application or both.
