Again, I can find out the address associated with that cell number that is apparently blocked. However, AT&T wants $60 from us, in order for them to authorize a cell # break so we can get the address. You guys who are still out there waiting on JDM, its your decision. You guys can split the cost among all of you.

Banning his IP address (if he is logging into this forum from only one location) won't help the others get their money back. If he's logging from different locations, ie: internet cafe, starbucks, or any other places with hotspots, its impossible to ban his IP address. They can ban his username but again, that won't help the situation. The only thing this community can do is be watchful.

it wont help the others get their money back, but it will prevent him from ripping off others by using various screen names

he said hes pretty sure he has located tommy in punta gorda and is going to try and contact him and let him know of the charges against him in an effort to get him to pay me back

he was very helpful and hopefully this leads tommy to either send us our goods or money or face the law

Glad to hear............this kid is probably getting a serious scolding from his mother. Heck she should confiscate his car, sell all the stuff he put in it and use that money as pay back from him for fronting the cash to get you all reimbursed.

I'm glad you were able to get a detective to listen to this case, there's so many cases like this happening daily. Sad to say, law enforcement agencies don't have the man-power to allocate a body to work each cases. Most cases fall thru the cracks and victims loose out in the end.

In that case maybe you would consider now taking your trash back and refunding me my $100 bucks.

Assasinroom, I'll give you a call and will coordinate this with you.

It's not going at all. I have been speaking to the same detective pavelsmax spoke to, and he said that legal action may be the next route to take considering the fact he has not paid up. Ultimately this will fall into his mom's hands considering he is a minor, and become an even bigger problem for his mom since she was supposed to pay off all his debts and send checks out to everyone as soon as possible. If anybody else needs the detective's info pm me and i'll send it to you.

You can direct the detective to this forum and look at this guy's profile because he seems to be mocking everyone about how he is a scammer. He admits to it. Hopefully his mom will hang his filthy *** off the front porch when everything is said and done.

Whoa!!!! I pay less than that, but I got mine a year ago. Why did it go up, did the identity theft protection go up or what?

True but the catch to that is that you get one free phone consulation with a lawyer per case. If you call the lawyer back again for the same case, they charge you their fee minus 25% (discount). Not all cases can be resolved by just one phone call, maybe cases like overcharge on a phone bill or such. But a case like this where you've been scammed, I doubt if a lawyer can even help especially if the guy that scammed you disappeared. You've seen the video about identity theft, only 5% of internet crimes committed are brought to justice (might be an old statistic). So what can a lawyer do if you can't find the guy that scammed you? If the case calls for outside source such as a private investigator, you pay out of your pocket for that. Plus, PPL doesn't cover many things, read the fine print. Those PPL lawyers wrote those fine prints as well and they are well-versed with it because part of their services is document review. I did and I know what services I'm entitled to for free. So yes it is a useful service but its very limited. BTW, I still have my membership for myself and my business. But I know that PPL lawyers aren't magicians either.
