My Experience with Southwest....

what a day from hell! I got the tracking # for my Tein H's from the group deal, and found out they were sitting at DHL's place in an industrial park near where I live. So I called DHL, and asked if I could just pick them up since it's so close; and they said, "sure." I drove over after work, and the short-bus crew over there said that it's against policy to release the package before the scheduled delivery date. I was a bit ****ed, went home and called customer service, the girl there said that there was no such policy. She called the store and told them to release the package. Soooooo, I drove back and pick up the springs and bit my tongue (nearly off). I came home, opened up the box, got out the invoice to put with my other records, and thats when I saw it...2000-2003 Nissan Maxima Tien H. Tech Springs. That's great except for the fact that I drive a '97.
I calmed myself, called Southwest and spoke with Jordan. He verified that there was a mix up, that he would send out a call tag to return them, and that he would send the correct springs as soon as they were available. Because of my experience with DHL, I asked if we could use a different shipper, and was told it was not a problem.
My hat's off to you guys/girls. You said all the right things, and it took all of 5 minutes. That's what builds customer loyalty. (That and another killer group deal on the Tokico's lol) Thank you for easing my frustration about my negative experience with DHL, with the positive experience I have had with your company.

Scott

Scott, we have had an absolute nightmare with DHL, I mean a seriously crazy and bad experience. Because of DHL, many people have voiced their opinion to us to switch, and so we are. FedEx will be on-board with us within the next 7 days, so its about that time to start the change. I hope that DHL's ****ty service doesn't ever affect the way people do business with us, as they will be gone momentarily. But, as always, I am glad we could be of prompt help, and will be taken care of, as always, immediately. Thank you again for your feedback. As for DHL.....

Thanks
Alex

Thank God, I was going to write you guys as well to voice my concern about them. Everything that you have shipped out on time has taken twice the amount of time or has been delivered to the wrong place. No fault of SWA, DHL just flat out sucks! Like right now, my springs have been in OHIO for the past 3 days. I wouldnt have stopped purchasing items from you guys, but its nice to see that you are switching carriers!

Just to let you know my order came in this week by DHL no problem. I was really concerned after reading this and the fact I couldn't get any info with the tracking info from their site.

Anyway all is well, I guess DHL messed up and got at least one delivery ok.

Regardless, thanks and hope to get this stuff installed and see how it works.

I talked to an employee of DHL today as he was delivering packages to the receiving department where I work. I asked him if they had any problems, that he knew of, with packages being left in warehouses or distribution centers. He quickly said no, but seemed to take it personally. I told him it's nothing personal, just wanted to know. He told me that if DHL tells you a certain date of delivery for ground shipping, they will hold it until the date of delivery. For instance, if a package is scheduled for delivery on the 26th, but can be delivered on the 24th, most of the time they will hold it until that date. When I asked him why he said he did not know. His "co-driver" quickly told me that it is to keep defined lines between "ground" and airborne deliveries. So that when you order airborne you know it's the fastest, and when you order ground you "know" it will take a while.???????????????
Is this crazy or what.
