I was testing the waters, looking for a muffler to replace my stock one, and I figured I'd look into an HKS. There is only 1 HKS Dealer in Utah, and when I called to talk to them the guy didn't really seen to know what he was talking about and couldn't answer my questions. I called back a few days later and talked to someone that seemed to be in charge. I asked about the muffler, and they quoted me a high retail price. I asked if they would go down at all, and he said - Why would I want to do that? - He talked about needing to stay in business, and wouldn't even budge on their overpriced items. He said that they do purchase their items at wholsale, but gave no indication that he would ever budge on his price. Even if I had friends that were willing to shop with them. I think that he missed a great opportinity to gain a new customer that is willing to spend cash, but after dealing with them I really don't ever want to go back. I'll just buy all of my stuff online. Why would I ever want to pay full retail, unless I was getting impeccable customer service?
