Tustin Nissan : Just Another Fair Weather Dealer

You know the story. If you are cash and carry you get prompt service with a smile. Maybe even warranty work of a minor nature involving labor only or some of the more common and readily available replacement parts / components. BUT, if you need a less common or major component replaced under warranty be forewarned. That part or component that is supposedly NOT IN STOCK and must be ordered or back ordered is probably sitting right on the shelf in the parts department. It's all about priorities with dealers like Tustin Nissan. Apparently it's okay to back burner a warranty customer and make him wait while a part or component is ordered instead of depleting inventory and making the repair right away. Save the inventory for the cash and carry customers. Apparently this is a big problem. If you search my thread on the 5th Gen. Maxima board ( Speaking of Poor Customer service ) you will discover that moderator Tim W has provided a link that's sort of a clearinghouse for dealer inventory. At that site you can check to see if a Nissan dealer has that particular item in stock. IMO the warranty customer is customer # 2. Real chump treatment. No wonder Nissan's ' Dealer Experience ' rating is so low.
