well some of the only things i can think of are a lot of time and energy. before u do ne of this, check out autopia, they might have some solution. but ne way
Rub down the spots with some cleaner wax, then try some sort of scratch or swril remover (scratch-x might work), then try to buff them out with regular wax. if that dosent work, i have no idea. but def check out autopia.

Might have to use a Clay Bar or some rubbing compound.

The problem with bird droppings is that they are quite acidic. But the good news is that the Zaino may have minimzed the damage since the glaze acts as a sacrificial layer.

What you might want to do is get a decent polish like Einszett's Paint Polish or Meguiar's Dual Action Cleaner Polish and go over it.

Guys thanks for the replies. I went to myfamily's body shop and he tried a little of his pro stuff. It's called Strata ultra cutting creme. Some pretty powerful scouring action, but still safe for the paint believe it or not. It was difficult to do spot by spot so i did the whole trunk and spoiler. It made it 99% better. Now I just have to Zaino the panels to make it shine liek the rest of the car. So I am going todo do the hood today. I think i will do the hood, roof and. Teh car was actually SMOOTHER than the clay bar. Anyway, All is well, or as good as it can be. :-)

The name of the place is called Tommy Bug. It's on 63rd and 13 ave in Brooklyn . Ask for Joey. He does amazing work, and takes pride in what he does. He is a nice guy too.

If you used something with the words "Ultra Cutting" in the name, you may need to follow up with something a little less abrasive. This is to remove the micro-marring (which makes paint appear hazy/dull). Something like Meguiars #82 Swirl Free Polish (excellent product I use) will definitely restore the gloss to the paint. Follow that with your choice of paint protectant. Remember that your paint should look as close to perfect as possible before the protection stage. The best wax/sealant won't make a poorly prepped paint look good.

Check out www.autopia.org for more info on removing etching from various causes. Prinz is right on about bird droppings being acidic. Especially the droppings from birds that eat seeds. And the Meguiars DACP (Dual Action Cleaner Polish, or #83) he mentioned is a very good product. Definitely a must in my detailing arsenal.

Guys- I can't believe this s h i t! literally. The etchings are back! I was picking up my girlfriend from the train station and was leaning against my car and to my horror the etchings were back! After I compounded and zainoed the areas the car looked perfect again. Totally good to go. I had an ear to ear grin. Then it just came back outa nowhere! What happened? Was there a layer on top that was fooling my eyes that dried up after 48hours? This sucks! What should I do know? I did the compounding by hand, should I break out the black and decker handy orbital buffer? I was scared to use this thing but maybe I might have to. Can somebody lead to me to proper technique for the use of a random orbital buffer? I don't want to get a worse problem than I have now. I was told that random orbital buffers are the safest for novices. PLEASE HELP ME GUYS. The Shop wants 850 to paint the bumper spoiler and trunk or 150 to Buff the car with his machine. Is buffing by hand really that less effective than buffing with a machine? Thanks everybody.
