Removing swirl marks is alot harder than just applying some quick coat of something. There is a process that takes alot of time. You first have to wash the car and dry it completely. Then clay bar the vehicle to remove any contaminants that are dulling the paint and will cause major damage if left alone. After that you need to apply our Quik Erase Scratch, Swirl & Haze Remover. This is our compound and it will remove most of the scratches and swirl marks. Next step is to apply our Renew Polish. This will polish the surface of your vehicle to a very high gloss and give it that wet look shine. Finally apply a couple coats of our Quik Wet Wax. If you follow these steps you will have a super slick, super clear wet look, very deep shine. You can do everything by hand or we use PC 7424's in our shop. Remeber to always use MF towels as anything cotton will scratch. Check out our entire line at www.QuikShineGarage.com or send me an email and I will be glad to talk to you .

Thanks

Ultrafina is a great product via rotary and it does an excellent job removing any light rotary holograms without putting in any of its own. However, it isn't the best choice to remove heavier defects like spider swirls or scratches. As a finishing polish with the rotary though, it is the best I have used. In fact, used it today on a black '09 Z06 I detailed.

That car is sharp. Nice job Scott. Curious, what did you use for an LSP?

Nice. That's what I've been using for a while. Big fan of it. And please, bring on the pics! Especially the black cars.

For me, I use microfiber towels or mits to wash and wash in a front to back motion, not swirls. When drying, do it the same way. I always buy black vehicles (The last 8) and I learned how to keep it clean and scratch free. Once you get swirls, the only way to 100% remove them is professionally buff. If they are deep, color sand and buff.

If I ever drop a microfiber towel or rag, it goes in a grease rag bin, never to be used on paint again... ever. When I wash the towels, I never use fabric softner since it keeps moisture from absorbing into it. I buy fresh Microfiber (6) towels every few months and it pays off.

There are a slew of waterless cleaners available. Just invest in it and use microfiber towels. That is what I use on my Harley and when I don't have time, my GMC crew cab. It's not for filthy jobs, just when you need a little rinse and clean.
