Can someone tell me what Seafoam is?
It is a Top Engine Cleaner that will help remove carbon deposits and buildup inside of your engine. I've used it in the past and on a car with quite a few miles, you will notice better throttle reponse and performance.
I just got a can from my local autoparts store, I used the vacume hose from the brake booser that led into the intake pleneum. It just said to make sure that it gets to all six cylinders. The hose was too big to fit in the bottle but i just started my Max up and flipped the can upside down and let the vacume suck it all in the car, in no time i started seeing smoke coming out of my car. I turned it off waited for 20 minutes, the started it up again and the smoke just poured adn poured. I had my whole neighborhood smogged out, it was crazy. Now my car runs soo much better, great stuff i highly reccomend
Yep, pretty much what 3RDGen said. It will smoke like crazy but once you burn it all off, the car feels much smoother.
You may want to do it right before an oil change and/or spark plug change because if your engine is super dirty, it may foul the plugs a bit burning off the crap.

That hose is too BIG! If you use this hose, you run the risk of ingesting too much at one time and hydrolocking the engine! Use a very small hose or at least use some type of restrictor to limit the amount sucked up at one time. ie.. smaller hose inside that big one.

When I did it, I poured the amount I wanted sucked into the engine into a clear plastic cup (the disposable kind they serve punch with). I then could see and control how fast the liquid was sucked into the engine by dipping the vacuum tube into and out of the liquid. It beats trying to gauge how fast the liquid is going into the engine when you just dunk the vacuum hose into the metal can it comes in.

Just use it and throw it away!

When i poured the seafoam in my engine, i ended up pouring it into the hose that is behind the throttle body. I forgot what that opening hose is but it seemed to do the work. I then proceeded to pour the rest in the gas tank.
I was kind of scared when i used seafoam cuz the car died a couple of times. The car acted strange after i poured that **** in and started the car again. It stalled the first time but then i cranked it on with my pedel to the floor. That seemed to get it to start. This is when the fun starts. Smoke comes out of the car and the neigbhors thought i was doing a bar-b-que out in my car.
It's easy to use. Just read the directions in the back of the can. It's idiot-proof...trust me.

so how much does a bottom sea foam cost? and exactly where do you pour this sea foam into? my car has 114k on it and i know for a fact no parts have been changed since my parents bought it. Gonna go buy a can of this and afterwards purchase some ngk copper spark plugs, should notice a difference.

They probably think it's a tailgate party that you're grill some steak on a hot engine and smoked bratwurst in your exhaust.

Anyone have problem with their catalytic converter or other emission controls afterwards? I'm concerned that the raw/overly rich exhaust going thru the cat will cause it to overheat resulting in it either splitting open or clogging...

The directions on the Seafoam can claim it is "O2 sensor and catalytic converter safe". Time will tell if this is true or not.
