Used Engine breakin : Tips? Synthetic?

Should i run synthetic once through to break up any build up on my new used engine that i am installing this friday-- through tuesday?
This engine has 65k with 180psi. Not sure if that is an average or what.
I want to do this right, the first time.
Also, how much MT tranny oil will i need? 4 bottles of MT90 or 5?

Run Castrol dino 5w-30 and a new filter. Run for about 1,000 miles and then switch to whatever you want.
or

You can run new oil/filter and some Seafoam in the oil(1/4 pint) and run it for about 200 miles, then change also. Should give the engine a good clean to get it ready for synthetics.
