Big problem after MT oil change

I just recieved my 5 quarts of amoil manual transmission oil and went to change it. I use the shift sensor to drain instead of the plug. Everything went smoothly until i was refilling. I noticed a little leak and i tightened the bolt for the sensor a tighter. I think i over torqued it because the gasket that holds the sensor in place just broke. Now i have 5 quarts of brand new tranny oil leaking, about 1 drop every 30 seconds. Anyone know a solution to this without wasting the oil? Ive put a oil pan under the leak until the dealership opens tomorrow so i can purcahse a new gasket. I figure i drain out he new oil into the pan and send it through a coffee filter incase anything got into the pan over night. Is this a bad idea?

Sounds reasonable to me.

Shows the need to use a torque wrench when doing jobs like this. You should also properly torque your wheels when you (or a shop) removes them for any reason.

next time you'll use the plug like you're supposed to. I did my friend's max maybe a year back, his sensor had the tab that the bolt goes through broken off so whoever did it before used a washer to hold it in place.
