Brake fluid question, contaminated or not?

Brake fluid question, contaminated or not?
So I recently did a brake job on my car...I sent the rotors off to pepboys (to get resurfaced) and came back home and waited...while that was happening, I decided to prep my pads by adding anti squeal gel on the shims...and pushing the piston back in with a C-clamp...problem is, when I pushed the piston back in, the brake fluid overfilled.... so I took the cap off caught it with a few towels...
Now the thing is, I forgot to put the cap back on...and I went back inside the house...then a few hours later, I drove off to pepboys to pick up my rotors and AFTER I reassembled everything, is when I found out the cap on the brake master cylinder was still off....is this bad?
The fluid has been recently flushed (i'd say 8 months old) and the cap was off for 3-4hrs I'd say....will my boiling point be bad? I don't drive too hard...mostly city driving and nothing too crazy...
