Sales and deals on tools and gear...

If you see a good deal or great sale on tools or other shop gear, feel free to post it up here. Please only post NATIONAL sales or online sales...not your local auto parts store!

Please include:
- Name of dealer/store
- Internet site
- Specific items you think are a great deal.

Please do NOT argue in this thread or discuss posted "deals"

Sears has some great sales on Craftsman tools

SEARS Tool site

Deals (what I remember from the store)
Metric and standard socket sets
Torque wrenches(up to 75 ftlbs and up to 250 ftlbs)
Box ended ratchet wrenches
Air tools, impact wrenches
Mechanics/shop gloves(all types)
Also, garage hooks and some storage stuff is on sale

Theyve got online only sales, instore only sales and both. A lot of stores have a section called the "Wish Shop" where stuff is really marked down.

Sears is having good deals on air tools 10% off on all.
Clearance sales on the toolboxes, and you get an additional 10% off clearance items if you order it online.

Did everyone forget Harbor Freight Tools? Hands down the cheapest tools anywhere, and all hand tools have a lifetime warranty. The only thing that sucks is sometimes their shipping is slow.

This fits the criteria that is noted in the first post.

For those that shop at stores like Home Depot, look out for display items like rolling toolboxes and the like. At my local Home Depot there is a large $400 tool box that is reduced to $250 because the locking mechanism doesn't work properly. For most, we will accept the price reduction as not all of us need a lock on our tool box. You may be able to haggle for a lower price.

So, keep an look out at your local Home Depot and similar stores for items that sit around. You can save a lot.

Harbor Freight is cheap for a reason. I've bent their 3/4" box end wrenches into a horsehoe with my bare hands. Cheap Made in China Crap. stay away.

i work on helicopters for a living an i deal with all the major name brands. harbor freight is great for low stress tasks. but anything with high torques you will want anything thats snap-on, matco, cornwell, or craftsmens professional grade. all of these comes a with a price of course. im still payin for a few things i got off the cornwell truck a cpl weeks ago. but the quality is well worth it plus the lifetime warranty

According to my point of view, the garage & tools are very much required for this. Specially what type of equipments are required & what are not required, that should be analyzed.

Cobalt drill bits

Sears is running 50% off 21-piece drill bit sets through 11/10. Ever price out single metal cutting Cobalt drill bits? This works out to $1.43 per bit!
