I think I fixed the problem with my Direct Port...
As some of you guys know, I was having terrible problems with my direct port setup I installed a couple of weeks ago.
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hreadid=145729
I was writting as a follow up to that thread. The problem MAY have been resolved now when I went back and re-installed my 255 walbro pump that I took out trying to cure an overly rich problem that turned into a falling down off the line problem. With me so far?
After researching for days, I took the advice of fellow orgers and re-installed my 255 walbro pump and lowered the FP at the regulator. VOOLAH! The car now engages immidietly and pulls hard. Now, I have not done a full 1/4mi run engaged, but my butt dyno tells me it will pull all the way thru. I will slowly up the FP back to as close as possible to the desired stock levels, since I am at 25psi right now which is pretty close to the edge and don't want to run lean on the top. So far, the gauges say I'm still a little rich, but that is only on test runs of 1st/2nd gear and then shutting down. I will creep the FP up until it gets close enough to right.
I wanna really thank my boys that have been really instrumental in helping me with this puzzle: SX7R, BRIGUYMAX, SR20DEN, BAGS, NISMO2020, and 1MAX2NV. All these guys kept me from going over the edge and kept me going in the right direction with their suggestions of possible cures. I really appreciate you guys taking the time out to scratch your heads with me and figure this one out. Yall are my boys...
I am not going to try and jump up and down too much just yet, tonight's track night again, and that's going to be the real test to see if the problem is fixed. You guys wish me luck. Hopefully the guy with that dam* white civic that runs 12.6's won't show up and I'll take the title. If he shows, I may have to try and unplug his big a$$ T-70 turbo or slash his slicks to have a chance. I will let you guys know how it goes.
Once again guys, Thank you for all the help and suggestions.

Ramius83, you know I'm just playing...you still my boy.
Bags, you got me to thinking which is a task all in itself.
Jay25, you know I need backup don't you?...
SMX, I may still have to downsize to the Walbro 190L which is much better than the stocker 190L, but will decide after running a couple of times with the 255 first. I'd rather be on the rich side than the lean. Will definetly let you know. You got dibs, don't worry.
Cumalot, I'm gonna stick with the auto for a while. I wanna push it to as much as she can hold and see what happens. I am seriously thinking about getting another car as a "race only" car that I can really play with. Daily driver is a challenge since you gotta factor in daily driveability into everything.

I just got back from the track with my current setup. Why did I mess with it when the 100 shot jets worked well.
The .024 nitrous and .018 fuel is way too rich. When the bottle pressure was at 1100psi, it ran really good. When the bottle pressure was at 900psi, huge dense black smoke came out of my tail pipe and it ran like crap. I might just go back to the 100 shot. There is just way too much wheel spins in first gear to be useful.

As for your troubles, it's my turn to help.
Don't go back to the dry just yet. Let's try something first. It's gonna sound scary, but trust me it worked for me. If you have an adj. FPR (which you probably do) turn your FP down to 28psi. Next, take that .018 fuel jet and drop it to a .016 to start with. Keep the bottle pressure at 900-950psi all the time to be able to keep a good baseline for tuning. Do this only if you have the 255 walbro pump in and make sure and keep the bottle pressure at 900-950psi so you can have a good baseline for tuning.
Once you do that, take a test run and make sure and watch the gauges. Do a couple of runs after re-checking your settings, specially bottle pressure (to keep a good baseline) and FP (same reason). Based on the gauges on the test runs, adjust either the FP or jets accordingly. You probably don't want to run FP any further down for now. Try that and tell me what happens. BE CAREFUL AND WATCH THE GAUGES LIKE A HAWK, AT THE FIRST SIGN OF BEING LEAN---GET OUT OF IT AND TWEAK UP ON THE FUEL SIDE----.....
Imagine the look on my face..as the only other maxima I saw runs a 13.3 ....I was like ok I feel slow and I havent even run yet. I did acheive a decent run myself for 99 5spd with stillen intake. 15.26 @ 90.54 with a 2.29 60'. It was nice to meet you Jaime. I drove that other max the white one. I couldnt get it to break 15.5 kinda feel srry for the dude. Awesome run though man, nice way to represent. Now come help me put that system on my car! haha

Hey bud, I just went to the track last night and I ran my best times yet, eventhough traction was a big issue. 13.3 @108mph and that's with 2.3 60' and a ton of wheel spin coming off the line. I've decided to go with slicks and see what I can do about traction. I know that if I can bring my 60' times back to where they were when I didn't have such massive wheel spin (2.10 or lower) the car is going to run 13 flat or better. I just know it...

Jaime, I have a question for you, did you buy the whole fogger kit to go direct port, or did you just buy the solenoids, fittings, nozzles, and lines? And where/how much did you buy it for, thanks Jaime.

You already have half the stuff. You will need a fuel solenoid, hard lines, bender, 6 fogger nozzles, jets, 2 distribution blocks, and assorted fittings to convert it over. The scariest part is tapping the intake plenum. I personally had that done by the pros.
