Wow, do you live like 60 miles from work or something? Why not relocate closer? My boss lives around 40 miles from work. I never understood why people live in DE and work in Philly. You gotta pay the 4.5% wage tax anyway, you might as well get something from it and live in the community. They always argue that 300k gets you a tiny 50 year-old house on the Main Line but they can buy a new construction in DE for 220k. But someday one likes to think their unborn children are going to Harvard, not Eastern Community! Apples and Oranges!

Leisure time rocks! But congrats on the heavy mileage.

Yup 60. Reason being is where I live Riverside,CA housing is cheap compared to where I work Anaheim,CA it is crazy. All the money is in Orange County(Anaheim) and there are not too many jobs in Riverside. I used to live close, but bought a 4 Bedroom 3 Bath house with a 2 Car garage and some land for $90k that house would of cost $390k in the OC.

My car probably won't see 100k miles. Before 100k miles, I probaby sell/trade the car. I'm just a little over 60k right now.

Yep, I hear you. That's a pretty big spread. I'd be inclined to go the way of the 390 but maybe not, who knows. 3 bath seems pretty modern! We're happy with 1.5 to 2 around here since the homes are all about 50 years-old. I personally like the masonry/brick-work which no longer comes in a new home. If there's brick it's really a facade nowadays.
