budget exhaust change their focus?

It seems like budget exhaust has completely overhauled their website - does anyone know if they are still the same company? I didn't poke through it all that much, so it may be painfull obvious one way or another.

Wow, you are right. I'm the 7th person to visit their site. They seem to be doing repair serivice. As long as they are still selling SS ypipes for 158 shipped, it all good.

The y-pipes are listed as $250. Before they were ~$325. I'm assuming they are now $250 american dollars.

I know, I ordered and put mine on on Friday.

It ROCKS!!

Oh, and I'm number 35 and 32 on their new sites, respectively (performance and exhaust).

I tried and their site was down, then when it eventually came back, it was all differnet looking and I was number 4 on the counter. It took me a while to figure out it was the same company and to find their Y pipes. I'm hoping it is $250 Canadian.

I've heard they're slow in replying by e-mail so calling might be the best bet.

Look above. We just "missed one another". Mine is not mandrel bent but I thought they will make a mandrel y if you ask them to. Better call to check.

With mandrel, the exhaust flows more smoothly through the pipe at the bends. The inner diameter around the bends are constant in diameter without "wrinkles" as you would see inside one of those elbow straws. The wrinkles create a bit of turbulence within the pipe. In addition, non-mandrel means the inner diameter at the bends might be a bit smaller than in the straight sections of the pipe. I don't know how perceivable the difference between the two pipes would be & whether that would justify the higher cost of the mandrel-bent y-pipe. Depends on the cost difference too (whatever that is).

Sorry, I don't know about that. You'll have to call Jeff @ Budget to find out.

I'm looking at y-pipe (mandrel 304), high flow cat, b-pipe (mandrel 304), to run with the stock muffler. If they are willing to let me have a listen to the muffler they have there, and I like it, I'll buy it, but if they don't, I'll just stick with the stocker. I'm not willing to risk buying a muffler I'll hate.
