ok, guys time to add up the numbers. Let's say the courtesy mevi was $350 and you wanted to buy the engine cover.
Courtesy
350 MEVI
120 (dawes, harlan, other parts)
100 cover from cranman
40 shipping
supporting bracket for cover???
the total is at least $610
Cranman:
Everything listed above shipped, total is just under $700 guaranteed. (freight shipped)
Courtesy
advantages: seemingly cheaper price, apparent less wait time
disadvantages: not yet tested to work, the 350 price is still unsure, unknown price of supporting bracket, the extreme demand will put these in back order for months.
Cranman:
advantages: tested and works, support from cranman if you have any problems, don't have to go out and find all the accessories,
disadvantages: wait time for mevi, possible slightly higher price
I ordered from cranman, and stand by the order, to me it still looks like a better deal with everything compared.

Ok I must be missing something or just tired from reading this long thread, but why such the huge rave on this deal when brodaiga broke it down, doesn't amount to much savings---especially when you still have to go out and get missing pieces.
Also, can someone provide a little history on this MEVI, such as which car in Japan uses it, why that car uses this type of manifold rather than the U.S. Max, and how this thing adds performance.
Thanks in advance.

I got mine for 336 shipped, the cover, I dont care about, and the supporting bracket needed, I think we already have it
I ordered mine and 4 business days later I recieved my package
so here is how my price breaks down
336- VI+most parts
120- Harlan switch and vacuum canister
= 456 shipped and recieved in less than a week
that was a good price, too bad more people didnt order it before the prices changed

yup Courtesy... I think I'm the only one to order it or something! well I know I'm not, I ordered early and a few people ordered until Courtesy stopped selling them for awhile, probably because they are going to raise the price
Okay this is the one thing I don't get.......
Why in the hell do we have to get this harlan RPM switch? What kicks this thing in the Middle Eastern and Japenese Maximas. I am sure they have some kind of stock thing to kick the VI at a certain RPM. Or is theirs always on and we are kindof ghetto rigging ours?
