So what happens if you actually have engine problems? Kinda like the boy who cried wolf huh? Maybe you can wire up a switch to the CEL. Have the light off during normal use. Then flip the switch on when you want to check ECU codes? I want the JWT ECU for the added power. But I could spend the money on a nitrous kit and have more power. But the ECU will give me power all the time and compliment my VI. Decisions.

sprint: I did a search and read that you were inquiring about the JWT NOS ECU. 900?? If you get the regular JWT ECU, no more nitrous for you.

I always thought the advanced timing of the JWT ECU + Nitrous was a no no. Am I wrong?

I thought the JWT ecu was optimized for NA use.

if you have a JWT ECU you can have them add the NOS module and you won't need an RPM Switch.. actually the JWT ECU / NOS is the safest thing out there

Yeah, but that's more $$! Didn't you say the ECU with the daughterboard is 900 dollars? Well, either way, I got the 96 ECU for a good price. I guess if I decide not to get the ECU modded, I can always just sell it to a org member.

JWT's nitrous ECU is a two stage unit. You can select between the nitrous program (timing retard, richened A/F) and the NA program (advanced timing, lead A/F) via a switch.

IMO, the JWT nitrous program is ideal and worth the money. The setup is idiot proof and the ECU regulates the nitrous. For $1800 (ECU, complete nitrous kit), I think it's a bargin.

Programming and NOS addition is $900.. check cattman site for specific details

Keep this in mind, if you want to run more than a ~65-75hp shot you need to get larger injectors using the JWT system because its a dry kit, but the fuel pressure stays at ~43psi, the injectors just open a longer time.

So add injectors to that cost if you want REAL power.

Sounds great! It is amazing that you have the fastest N/A maxima and only have an intake, y-pipe, and MEVI. And you ran a 14.7 stock in your max. You must be one hell of a driver! It sounds like you should be even deeper in the 13's with the ECU.
