$20-$30 FSTB Installation Fee!!

haha u ******, i know i will get flamed like no tomorrow...

but after buying vice grips, torque bar, and blah blah blah, that last ****ing strut nut refuses to come off. With it stripped, i had no choice but to take it to my local friendly dealership haha well, i know a real nice salesman there who said he'll hook me up w/ a mechanic there that will take it off for a cheaper price... he's probably gonna cut it off. At this point, I give up and i'm just gonna pay for the damn thing to come off.

what an expensive spring break... i am goin poor w/ all this car stuff!

are you sure you didn't use standard tools like at the meet on 3/2 someone told me you used standard sizing sockets to take off the strut bolts... hahaha and you stripped them hahaha

I had to do that too. I didn't have access to air tools and my wrench wouldn't do the job. Except I paid $20CDN to get it done.

It was funny too cause I had 5 bolts out except for the very last one which refused to budge. Really ****ed me off that I had to pay $20 to remove one frigging bolt!

a simple socket wrench, some wd-40 and a hallow metal bar to get an extention will do take em off with no problem.

And speaking of paying for stupid stuff: I had to pay $15 to take off the rear license plate because the screws were so rusted it was impossible to unscrew. Drilling the screw didn't work either. So the shop used a saw and cut off the part of the bumper where the license plate was attached too.

omg, everytime i think about the 30 bucks i spent to take off that ghetto bolt, i get so ****ed off.

I just have to remember what my friend told me yesterday... you live, you learn, then you die. then he reminds me how he spent 60 bucks to install window washer LEDs long time ago, lol! he has learned alot from that situation!

I've done 4 FSTB installs, all on cars no newer than '94 and each one was not a problem.
