I may be wrong, but I think it may affect insurance. Your right turn is a moving violation just like speeding, running a red, or the like. You may be able to take defensive driving to get it taken care of though.

Here, in the Socialist Republic of California*, there exist many of the same kinds of laws as he mentioned and some that are unimaginable to have in a free state/country...
*It's not called the "Left Coast" for no reason you know.

BTW 120 canadian is about 79.50 US which is a nice price. I just paid $94 for "drive safe speed" last Monday. But I'm the one laughing to the bank! I decided to buy a blue-chip mutual fund the next day to make up for the money and I'm up $160 so far. So even though one is not really related to the other, my mind is at total ease. The worst thing you can do is take a ticket personally. Ask yourself, do you envy the cop's job? Getting paid 50,000 per year when your life is on the line is no bargain. 22 year-olds fresh out of the university earn more than that these days.

tunedup....
Assuming Canada has a similar system for handling traffic violations, fight the ticket. You may be able to pay a fine with no points. Any violation that puts points on your record will affect your insurance.

canadian ticket
no doubt that in the US this would raise your insurance if found guilty and give points. But, the thign I don't know is if you gte points on a US license from a canadian ticket...I mean, how would they report it to your insurance company/DMV anyways?

I just read in the latest SCC that running a red light adds 2 points to your record. I assume this is true for stop signs, and other similiar moving violations.
Demian: Funny you ask about wax.... This pic was taken at the last Dallas meet, and the weather was starting to get cold. I hadn't waxed my car for about 3-4 months, and that day since it was cold I decided to go through a (god forbid) drive through car wash. My only explanation is that sx7r is one hell of a photographer and should be employed by some magazine.
