he pulls up next to me real fast and looks at my car his girl is looking too, she says something and he smiles first light he guns it i pulled in front by 2nd gear 2nd light same thing ,he just wouldn't give up ,third light he's behind me light changes and i pull off normaly noticing the nice straight away ahead, he thinks he can pass by crossing into the oncomming traffic lane, i let his nose get at my back door and floor it in 2nd pull away hard,he was'nt to happy to lose in front of his girl by the expression on his face sorta suprised and embarrassed at the same time.btw i think it was a 98 or 99 4 dr.

 

i love to hear all the roadkills on the board...but seriously an el dorado would probably smoke my 98 max...and i can't believe that the 6 in the max would beat the el dorado....im just a bit skeptical....all i know is those caddies are quick as ****...i don't think the max has better acceleration...just my 2 cents...

They are about as fast as the Maxima 0-60 wise, in the 6.5-7.0 second range. Notice that Quansung has mods too, making his Maxima i theory faster than the Caddy. BTW, the 4 door caddys are Sevilles, the two doors are the Eldos.

 

It's believable. My brother's Lincoln Mark VIII is as fast as an Eldorado, and I beat him. He also beat me once, but the races were usually prettly close (when my car was stock). His car's totaled now too. Anyway, it depends on the driver and who gets the jump on who....

 

I don't have doubts.
I don't know much about Eldorado, but I thought STS is the fastest Caddy sedan? It only does low 15's in 1/4m. Maybe because it's heavy, maybe more because the auto gearing sux or something, their 300hp V8 is just no as fast as 300hp in a Japanese or German sedan.
So I think a Max can take a Eldorado.

remember the weight factor eldorado weighs 3814 so its very possible, honestly though u aint smelling the sts but the reg one is beatable.

But not that fast off the line. With the CAI, I've taken STS's w/ no problem. The other day I raced a Deville DTS on 101 and it was like nobody moved. I got a little jump on him, but I was going no where, he might have been pulling on me, but it wasn't much. Actually it was the best race I've had in a while (better than a race w/ a late model Supra - no turbo or else I wouldn't have beat him!, and a Lincoln Mark VIII-which was good, but I had him beat by ~1 car length-race from a light.) The Mark VIII would have been a closer race if we were on the highway, but I think I still would have taken him. The Caddy's are fast on the highway...
