Mechanically Challenged

I just got my max about 1 month ago a 99 gle fully loaded blah blah blah.. for 12,000. with 80k miles. I've been reading on the form for about 2 months and I'm boggled with some of the complexity which goes into messing with my max.

I really want to learn about ripping apart cars in general but don't know exactly where to start.

Any expert advice will be greatly appreciated!

-Josh

I'm sorry but I cant really help you with out a specific question/idea? what would you like to try to do? anything from changing a headlight build to a transmission swap.... the possibilities are endless.

If you don't know much cars, I wouldn't go tinkering around on my own. If you have any friends or family that know more, it helps to learn somethings off them. Otherwise, the other alternative would be to take a basic auto class if they offer it at your local college or tech schools.

air goes in to engine, air mixes with fuel, pistons compress mixture, spark ingites it, piston forced downward to crate a cycle blah blah blah engine is connected in to the tranny, tranny makes car move and brakes stop car... a little more in there but you can figure that out
