Hal, finally got to see your 12-sec run (I was in line to "go")! I was in the stands for the run with the 'Stang and there were a lot of "oh craps" on that one and a bunch of "he even hit the brakes before the finish line and beat that Mustang" comments

The green/gold car is a 240 running a KA24DET. Not sure what his best run was, but he was having horrible traction and tranny problems ( cracked case during a run ) and actually spun the rims within the tires on a run...

Great runs and great meeting you at the track...Next time I will have friggen drag radials on instead of the blowtenza's....

Quote: jay: first of all a side note, your car looks sweet! saw it in the atl vids. to answer your questions, yes stock motor and stock injectors (240's?). I am controlling fuel delivery pretty much from a vortech FMU - so high fuel pressure. I dont even have a safc on the car right now I do start leaning out a little over 6000 I noticed on the dyno. off the charts rich (below 10:1) up to 6000 then it climbs to almost 14:1 I believe by fuel cut. So, on the track I shift at ~6000rpm until 4th gear I have to wind it all the way out bc I dont want to have to shift into 5th before the finish line.

)

Thanks for ans the questions Hal.

HitmanSE, I dont argue bad for my health and I try not to argue thats why I try not to post on suspension threads they are a waste.

That is a fast run, but, I wouldn't try it again with the fuel setup you have.
Hard to believe you are running that rich on pump gas with those little injectors.

BOOM.

Great job getting her finished and running solid in just a few days.

I didn't realize my tranny could do 12's.

ant: yeah I am careful for the top end right now, need an SAFC or something to get my 6200-6700rpm taken care of - but shifting early gives me no trouble , i'm making power down low too and i love those little injectors, they pay for my dyno (when a local big-name bet me dynos that i couldnt pull 450+ on stock injectors.). even 14:1 at redline makes me feel better than 18:1 at 5500rpm, dont ask

bejay: thanks for the tranny and nice meeting you!! runs like a champ.. and without LSD i'm still seeing 2.1 60' every single pass i made so i'm not going to complain! you're tranny will do more than 12's

audtatious: your car looked GREAT. now if it would just hook up!

s0ber: all (most all) of my videos are on a webpage.. go to www.hlh0501.com and then click videos on the left nav bar.

Quote: States in his sig (and the last dyno vid) that hes got 456whp and 460lb-ft of torque, not to mention he let off be4 reaching redline (with 35shot nitrous) so im sure hes packin well over 500hp at the crank. As for the injectors But it should be the stock motor.

450 / .85 = ~530hp at the crank.

haha thanks.. i maay have a set of slicks finally, I'm looking at a wheel/slick combo right now.. we'll see - but I'm open to donors The slick fund may just have to yield to putting new brake pads and rotors on all the way around this week. It's always something!

Trap speeds typically go down a little when people run on slicks, but I am assuming mine will go up considering I will then be able to spray first and second gear! we'll see someday

Quote: no money for them right now... some day, hopefully soon - plus it will be nice to be able to spray 1st and 2nd gear too!

and as for what turbo: i'm still on the original t3/t4, wishing I could afford to change to something crazy - but that's not for a while.

mzmtg: woo i have a new goal
Sell the H2, you'll still be little short for the slicks but it's a start...

oh well then they'll be that much better!! i can't wait, well, I guess I'll have to.

thanks everyone

oh , and i wish the hummer was in my name - but as long as it isn't, it's hard to sell for slicks maybe I could pawn it? ha I'd better stick to mowing the lawn or looking for some old baseball cards to sell

Whos H2 is it? I really dislike the car, well maybe not the car but most of the people that drive them. They always think they're the **** in their H2. I bet you're different though, right???

Why did you brake against the RUSTang?

240cc injectors aren't putting down those numbers, YOUR nozzle is! Got to love wet kits.

Any idea what peak fuel pressure you see?

haha. against the rustang, well I hadn't been at the 1/4 track in a while, all 1/8 and I just thought I was finished.

wet is good stuff.

and as far as fuel pressure, I haven't checked in a while - over 100. I've been takin it easy running ~10ish psi lately (dyno+track) after my 15psi period for a while haha, thats where injectors started becoming fun and fuel pressures got crazy.

They do now. I think they just started this past year. I thought it was funny that NOS started marketing wet kits after stating for so long that the fuel would puddle. And that NX started making dry kits after pushing only wet kits for so long. It's always amusing when companies abandon principles for market share.

110? 120? More?

What size shot of NX did you have? From the dyno, it looks like a HELL of a kick, 100-shot?

I cant remember fuel PSI , I'll try and check this week.

and no, I'm not running nearly that large of a shot - not quite that brave, atleast yet the reason the change is so dramatic on the dyno, is my wastegate cannot control anylonger when I am spraying. So, to dyno NX + 10psi, my car must be set on 5psi w/out NX. so, the change you see is boost doubling from 5->10psi and the of course NX.

Hope that made sense.

I actually didn't have the creep and spikes like everyone likes to complain about (until high power). I think it gets the same rep an autometer a/f gauge gets. Everyone, people who dont even own them say they do absolutely nothing. I have been satisifed with mine, and I am glad I have it even with my EGT.

deltagates do suck once you start playin over 400hp though, which is why I offer tial's now.

does anyone know what kind of power the 35/38/40's will handle?

10:1 = 10-parts air to 1-part fuel.

The higher the Air Fuel Ratio(A/F), the more air and less fuel.
