Just curious, how fast can you get in your Maxima and where do you do that? How many RPMs?

I drive ( 2000 SE auto ) usually on I95 in PA and DE, and the fastest I ever got is only 104mph. But there is always lots of traffic, and most of the people drive like $hit ;( I hate that...
Is it possible to get her all the way up to 160???

Seriously about 140 MPH in 4th Gen SEs and GLEs and SOME GXEs, about 118 in some others. No one knows why.

A short fifteen minute drive to the autobahn, and then as fast as I want...at least 143 mph.

Hey Autobahn Max - I noticed that you have a JWT ECU on your 97 GXE. I would like to get an ECU for my 97 GXE. What do you think of the JWT unit? Any problems with check engine lights or anything else? How about performance-wise? Is the differnece significantly noticable?

The drivers here are f#$%ing ignorant and stupid. Not all, but unfortunately most of them ;(
Three lane highway and somebody drives 60mph on the left lane, even though the middle is empty. Or pass other cars half a mile faster. I'm disgusted with them. They make me sick.
I need to getaway for a week to Germany, or Belgium to drive on autobahn as a therapy ;)

Maybe some day …..

I've taken my Max up to 124. It was still climbingup there strong, but my exit was coming up and didn't want to take a turn at that speed. So I'm assuming that it can hit 140 or more.

4th gens can easily hit 140+, given open roads and no traffic.
4th gen GXEs have a governor at 118, SEs and possibly GLEs have no governor..

92-94SE 3rd gens have been clocked at over 145..
my 93GXE was clocked by police radar at 142.. (not stock of course)
No 3rd gens have governors.

5th gens supposedly have a governor at 132, but I've heard both ways on that one..
just to clear a few things up.
