z32 maf on 2000?

Ok question of the day, does the Z32 maf fit on a 2000? I don't think it does but just want to be sure.

Thanks
Chris

Well first question is, what are you trying to do? Are you upping the boost etc? I'm pretty sure you can fit the MAF in, however you will need to buy an adapter and spice it in to your existing maf harness and shield it. It still really depends on what your trying to achieve. You may not even need it.

I am running a SC'er with 3.125 pulley whiich i think is rated at 11 psi. I just thought that adding the z32 maf would increase performance.

The reason why people run Z32 MAFs is because A32 MAFs are limited to 350bhp(crank) NOT "increase performance". Once you exceed this limit, you'll go lean because the MAF can no longer measure the additional air, so the ECU doesn't know to add more fuel. You now have a boost referenced system and compensate by increasing fuel pressure, however it's not as safe nor reliable since weather/temp/altitude can cause pressure to change. You'll be rich or worse lean. The metered air flow system using a high enough capable MAF will compensate for varying environment conditions.

We don't know what the A33 MAF limit is, but it *COULD* be higher then the A32 and therefore probably not necessary to change to change to a bigger MAF for a 3.125" pulley.

Yes, the Z32 MAF would probably physically work with enough modding, however the BIG question is how to make it work with the A33 ECU.

Most likely if you're running into the 350+bhp range, you'd be better off trying a "hacked MAF" mod or allow bypass air around the MAF, however you'll need to carefully tune this type of setup.
