*Help* Urgent...Rear Brakes!

Ok so I just had my rear rotors replaced as well as pads, I went with slotted brembo's from one of the group deals going on the org. Now here's the problem, it worked fine on the drive home and then krrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, when i drive real slow i can hear my caliper/pads? sticking to the rotor and it sounds GoD Awful(only on rear passenger side). Does this mean my caliper needs to be replaced as well? or is it something in the caliper that needs to be replaced(mind you the car has 95k and its supercharged) If i do need a new caliper where is the cheapest place I can get them ASAP!!??
Thanx in advance guys!
-Arnaud

it looks like the pad is rubbing? Or as if the caliper doesn't completely release but as soon as I brake the horrible noise goes away.

I had the exact same thing happen to me, sounds like the caliper is sticking or just stuck. I ended up replacing all 4 calipers.. got them from rockauto.com

The shop that replaced my rotors and pads said the sliders might need to be replaced but not the whole caliper. I guess i'll find out soon enough.

They probably did not put any grease on the metal slider tabs when they changed the pads. I use synthetic caliper grease on mine.

Slider tabs? you mean shims? That wouldn't cause the kind of sound he's hearing. If the wheel spins with a lot of resistance then your caliper is probably sticking. The other possibility is that the pad retainer clips (kind of like bent paper clips) are not seated properly and have managed to come in contact with the rotor. You'd probably hear a really bad scraping/clicking noise. If you think it's just stuck calipers, try bleading your brakes before going all out on new calipers.

No, I'm talking about the shiny metals tabs that are mounted on the caliper brackets. They get grease applied to them as well as the slider pins that hold the caliper on the brackets. The brake pads are mounted by the tabs onto the slider tabs/clips.

Look at item number 9 and you will see what I'm talking about.

I think my actual calipers are fine, the slides/tabs/shims all that is gonna be rechecked and changed for the rear when the BBK goes on in the front. I just have to not drive my car for a couple of days...stuck driving my gf's sunfire w00t w00t!

Arnaud, that is VERY possible. That is something way over looked by people/mechanics. The sliders should be cleaned and relubed after each brake service. Yes the caliper could be sticking as well but that may not be the entire problem. Also, with some-not all aftermarket pads, they dont "slide" into place w/o some trimming. You see how the pads rest on the guides/caliper mounting braket? Sometimes they arent cleaned (the metal seaters) or the pads dont sit right, hence the trimming.

It sounds like one of the pads is cockeyed and when then when you brake it pushes the pad back in place. This is just my educated guess because it happened to me
