The other night at the street races, we got busted by like 25-30cops. There were about 150 of us in the parking lot of a Range Rover dealership in the middle of no where. Anyway to make a long story short, they siad they had 3hours of video tape of us illegally street racing and to top that off they said they were going to impound and ticket those who had illegal mods to their cars. They went through each and every engine searching for those with nitrous. Well, about a dozen cars were impounded for using nitrous and everybody there with the exception of the cars in my club were ticketed for wreckless driving and tresspassing. I had no idea nitrous is illegal....

Only one state has passed a law about that..

boys always remember when you get your tickets to research them to see if an actual law exists

Does anyone know where I can find out things like that (i.e. legal uses of NOS, maximum tint, etc...)?
It can't be as easy as going to the local RMV and asking for a mods booklet.

NOS is illegal in some states. I know NOS is illegal in NJ. It is only legal for Off-Road and Racing use only.

Knowing the police the way I do, I'm sure, at least in WA, if you're caught with it even installed, they're gonna ticket you. Even if they didn't see you use, which they have no way of knowing anyway. But I'm sure they'll come up with some excuse like "intent".. But then again, you can always say, and hopefully for most of y'all it's true, that you only use it when off road....

I was wondering, how hard would it be to do a concealed NOS install:
If you have only 1 jet before the TB, then in theory you should be able to mount it underneath the intake pipe so that it can't be seen from above unles you really look for it, the piping and wiring can also be hidden by routing it against the passanger cabin wall and not the top of the engine bay.
The downside would be that you can't show off your NOS that easily but the upside is that it can't be seen that easily either.

Good idea. I was thinking about doing something similar to that. I want to get a nitrous set up but I want to keep it concealed.
