anyone know if the hud in the 93-94 max's can be retro fitted into an 00, i can handle mounting and stuff, but its the wiring im not sure of, anyone know anything bout it?

93-94 Maximas had HUD's???? Cool....

 

i think that there was a dicussion about this in the 3rd gen forums. i just dont remmember how long ago since the thread is most likely dead. but there was a discussion about this i dont remmember the result if you have search function then try to find the thread.

 

89-94 GXE had the option of digital dash and HUD. It's a VERY rare option so hard to find in junkyards. I found one and added it to my car. I had to use the main control unit from the digital gauges (even though I kept stock SE gauges because digital are ugly) and the HUD part of it. I can turn it on/off with the transmission power/comfort switch (my car is 5spd so it doesn't use this anyway).
It was a lot of wiring but I was able to figure it out with the FSM . I have a how-to on my page but it's obviously for 3rd gens.
I'd suggest looking at aftermarket HUD systems from ebay if you really want it. They have ones that do speed, tach, and other stuff too.
