Day 1...

two months later:

Took me 6 hours to tear apart, and three days to put back together. The only problem was the teardown and reassembly were two months apart!
"damn.. now where did that screw go again?"

Man!! You guys must not smoke cigs and drink beer.....or talk while you are working on your cars with some of the quick times you are posting on changing and moding parts.

Things that I have done that have taken more than a few hours are:

intake manifold and TB on my fourth gen

intake manifold and TB on my second gen

Pulling the complete suspension off my second gen about 8 times.

Putting a CAI on my second gen

....Things always take longer on the second gen because nut and bolts are always stuck or they brake.

One saturday for 2 hours installed the mevi, Cleaned up a lot of things that had carbon/oil build up. Replaced rear valve cover gasket. Put everything back together, repolished and cleaned up whole engine bay. Put on mevi cover. Then took it for a test drive . My digi camera will come be back today I cant wait to take pics of everything.

Wow two hours to install the MEVI. Seems pretty quick to me. Did you have the original manifold off already? Can't wait to see pics.

Its on my cardomain site page 5 i think i took 3 pics of it today. Yes there are some org members here that can do it in an hour but i question that. It was pretty striaght forward. everything taken off was put right onto the new manifold. Also 2 people working on each side makes the process move a lot faster.
Link to cardomain site is in the sig.

Excellent job on the polish. Do you have an ECU upgrade to beef up the low end? I hear that is the ECU/Mevi combo is quite nice.

No not yet, I really didnt feel any power loss. I also noticed that my mevi had work done to it inside. I think someone ported out some stuff. I used mother polisher inside it because the smoother surface doesnt allow much build up of oil and carbon.

With no ecu, how could you not feel the power loss?
I know when I had the OEM ecu in I definatley felt the loss of the low end.
Nothing real extreme, but I could feel it was gone.
Right now i have a G force ecu and helped give back some of the lowend power but it doesnt have the raised rev limiter so Ill be happy when my JWT ecu comes in then I'll have the extended top end.

From what everyone says your low end stays the same your mid range suffers. Do you have any supporting mods to back up the low-end power?
