sup guys, after reading some of the post about altizza lights and blue 9004s in the 4th gen forum, i got a though i would like to express.
So, ppl are saying that altizza lights and blue 9004s is ricy and all that, i myself am not for or against it, but i don't get why some of the members made it sounds so negative?
I believe most ppl here have clear bumper lenses, so that's not ricy? Talk about copying honda boys, so who's the one that first start puting on clear signal lenses? i don't think every one all of a sudden just start putting clear signal lenses on their car at the same time huh. It seems that it had became a habit to "don't put anything that's on a honda on my max". i mean come on, mods are really going as a trend, when something is popular, every one wat a piece of it. Just because somthing is not first out for maximas means putting it on a max sux. You would'nt tell a guy who want a set of BMW HID looking bulbs to go buy a BMW instead of Maxima right?
Yeah, every one can express their opinions, but it's not necessary to turn ppl down like that. Every one have their own idea of how to mod their car. After all, the reason we soup up our car is to impress ourselves isn't it?

by the way, pardon my spelling and grammer, after all, i am just a riceboy. =P

im as ricey as the next stupid rice-eater, but hey, there are boundaries between ricey and just plain unsafe and stupid. im into bodykits bluish lights and everything, but two things i will not do are clear tails and blue headlamps. it's hellish to try to see the car in front of u when it has clear tail lisghts, and imho it looks cheap. bluish tinted headlamps are also unsafe if you use the cheap-o discounto-rama bulbs.

I dont have a problem with Clear tail lights AS much as i do with taking taillights off another car...Thats just generic. If you want to replace your Maxima taillights with a different color, then fine. But why put on tails that belong to Another car? That is Ricey to me. And I agree with Max Zero...the blue bulbs are just unsafe and cheap.

hmm..i probably didn't word it right, the blueish 9004 i am talking about is those HID looking ones. i totaly agree with u guys that pure blue 9004 suck.
And talking about putting on other car's lights on max, i remember just a while before everyone was talking about that skyline conversion max and how nice it is, i guess that guy should just buy a skyline instead then? Think about it, with the money that guy spend on converting the max in to a Skyline looking watever, he COULD buy a Skyline. Why not?
If putting on anything that doesn't belone to a max on is ricy, how about 300Z rims on max?

the skyline conversion

was putting R32 tail lights on a max on an entire body conversion i believe. it was a while back when some one with a white max painted them all white and i made the suggestion of putting two round 3 or 4 inch wholes on each side and then the suggestion was made to try to mold the housing to the body. then some one said that they had a buddy putting R32 skyline tail lights on a 4th gen. i believe that would be it.

Conversion does not automatically make it rice... rather is how it looks. Can you HONESTLY tell me clear tail lights look good? I really don't consider that rice, I consider that stupid. Those that have clears should trying driving behind their own car and see what it like, or rather not see.

Superwhites, no blue, is not rice to me. In reality, they make stock headlights look dirty... I don't like that dirty look, thus the 9004. But beyond that, you won't find me putting much else on the car.

conversions dont necesarily scream rice. i saw a 2 door integ with a clean a*s altezza conversion on the back. i guarantee you that it looked bada*s. now on the other hand...

those just look damn outta place and dont even flow with bodylines. look at the prelude, that is rice. the panals dont even fit flush, and it's got a park bench as a spoiler. ew..

GOHAN FOR EVER! hahaha.

i personally don't think the Altezza lights would look good on the Maxima. The old school accord, yeah maybe, but not the maxima, esp with the two seperate light enclosure that we have.

if we just had the one unit, just the Accord, possibly the clear-euro would work.

as for the head lights... blue blue lights are lame, but the APC super plamsa bulbs that i have are great. they look like HID and for me, it improved low-beam visibility ... well that's b/c i have the wire harness...

yeah, i agree that altizza lights would not look *as good* as it on IS300, but as i said, i am not for or against it. My point was that if ppl likes it, let it be, but we don't have to turn them down like "then u should buy a is300". i just think that's pretty mean.

by the way, maximazero, u really impressed me with those pics..haha =D

Cheers~
