I was a lurker in the NISMO days, became active when I got my first Max in '98. I had a boring desk job for a year and the .org kept me sane. Then I got married, got a real job, a mortgage, had kids, and all my mod money dried up. It's funny, cause I make at least 3x what I did back then. Plus, I have to keep the ride respectable so I can haul big wigs around from time to time. I need a project car...

I remember the days when there when the .org was white/green, there were about 1/2 the # of forums/categories there are now, Sprint (Sprite) was the most banned/hated member of the .org, the Keving jokes abunded and were funny every now and then, all of the threads on the first page of the 4th gen section were nearly unique and full of good info.

Oh... and maximadriver.com was owned by Cheston and the best part of the site was the DIY how-to's as well as his "MasterCardesque" photos of him with his mods. His most recent mod at the time was a huge CF wing dubbed the "Salad Bar Spoiler."

Some of those things happened before my join date because I was a troll at the time and you didn't have to register to search/read things.

Oh.. and the server was slow and there was downage all the time

 

Oh.. how can I forget.. I have read ALL 5 EDITIONS of chinaonnitrous1's Blown Maf Series stories.

And there was also that pic of him with mashimaro posing next to the 5th gen.

 

there was also the time when a certain somebody claimed a patent on the Short Ram intake, and also claimed to keep up with a Yamaha R1 by utilizing his hi-tech A/T invention.

then one time.. at band camp... i donated, and have stayed away from the normal forums ever since only to lurk around increasing my post count. I swear it should be about 9,000 or so. Is there any real way to check your actual post amount?
